so this afternoon we went to a birthday party for a friend of jovi's...sort of. they are actually clients of mine and dan's. ever heard of a director named robert rodriguez? well the party was for his little girl. the mom, elizabeth avellan, has been a client of mine since i first started at barton creek country club and robert has been a client of dan's since about 6 months after that. dan is currently training robert and his 4 sons. who'd would've thunk it. they are so sweet and we had a great time. they had a bounce house and a train for the kiddos. it was a care bear party. don't know if jovi even knows what a care bear is. it took her a few minutes to get warmed up, but after that she was all over the place. there were about 10 or so other kids there not including the birthday girl's brothers. fun stuff.
tomorrow we have church in the morning, home for lunch and naps, family pictures and then a light the night ceremony in the evening at our church. should be fun. busy but fun.
i'm currently in a bsf Bible study-which is pretty fantastic, by the way-and we are studying the life of Moses and in Exodus, God commands quite regularly that the sabbath be kept holy. not only have i not been keeping a sabbath holy, i haven't been keeping a sabbath. i've been very convicted about what our sabbath should look like. i know it isn't going to be the same as the israelite's sabbath some 3000+ years ago, but all my days just run together. i'm praying that the Lord will show me exactly what He wants our sabbath to look like and that my focus will be Him and worshipping Him as I rest in Him. i want to teach that to my kids as well.
